February flew by so quick! Time does fly by quick. A coworker told me that time doesn’t go any faster than it did 20, 40, 80 or 200 years ago. The thing is we are doing more things and doing them faster in the same 24 hours. I would agree. Earlier this year, I decided to embrace the idea of 24 hours being enough. I wrote about it and called it 24 Hours is Enough. Take a moment and read it.
February wasn’t a bad month for me, but I was not able to hold true to myself and did not ponder over my life. Time just flew by. However, in March, time flew by way quicker. I was pondering over my life for the most of it. So, in this post of "Life Questions That Everyone Should Ask Themselves”, I'll attempt to answer some of the questions that were on my mind hoping that you will start asking yourself the same questions as well and find your answers.
What is the purpose of my life?
This question is loaded, and the truth of the matter is, the answer evolves as you grow. I heard someone say that the purpose of every being’s life is to die and that did not settle too well with me. I mean, then life would be much simpler and shorter. So, after much pondering, I understood the purpose of life is to love and be loved. It is simply a gift to enjoy to your best of abilities. Yet this ideal life is tainted by wrong decision after wrong decision from the beginning of the world. So, I settled with my life purpose being to help other people live their best life here on Earth. It’s my mission. This is how the world becomes a better place if everyone lives it the best way they can, full of grace. A life purpose is greater than you are. It is something that you set in motion and lives on long after you are gone. What do you think? What is your life purpose?
How do I make very important life changing decisions?
I’m not sure I have found the answer to this one yet. But I’ll share my thinking process with you and then you can run off with it. I ask myself these 3 questions in general:
Am I ready for the next step? I am talking more emotionally than physically. Actually, if the decision is life changing, we tend to no be ready for it. We are beings of habit and the idea of change does not sit well with the most of us. So, answering this question cannot just be, that you are scared or afraid.
Does it serve my bigger goal in life?
We all have dreams and aspirations in life. When making a huge decision, ask yourself does it get me closer to my dream or does it take me away from my dream. Gaining some clarity here will help you decide.
Is it against my set of values and morals in life? Believe it or not, we all walk around with a book of do’s and don’ts in life that we continuously add to. Maybe not physically but inside your head you definitely have one. You have your understanding of what is wrong and right in your life. So, based on these, are you breaking any of your laws?
Are these all the questions that need to be asked? Or do you think there are far more important questions to be asking when you are making a life changing decision? Let me know! Start a conversation with me on Instagram. I would love to chat with you!
